This year started with some sad news to the gambling industry, but football season, casinos and poker are still ruling the online gambling world.
Neteller seems to be in problems, their CEO was recently arrested. John Lefebvre, owner of this company seems to be behind bars. What is the reason? There are no reasons. Well, most of these people usually do it for gambling purposes, but that is not a crime. In a few words, he is behind bars because he helped people to make money transfers honestly. It seems that the US government does not think this way and he is charged as a felon similar to a terrorist.
This is also his fault; apparently he was arrested in Malibu. With all that money and all the heat on him, why did he stay in the US? Is this country that nice that everyone wants to be there? Neteller´s co-founder was also arrested by the same mistake, but he was at the Virgin Islands at the time. Apparently both might visit jail for about 20 years. But relax, you the online gambler will never have to face such accusations, at lest not for now. A lot of people are freaked out. Once again the US is trying to apply their fear politics and it seems to be working just fine. From my point of view, everyone should relax since Superbowl XLI is around the corner and we all want to place some exotic wagers on this amazing event. One thing is a fact; if Neteller disappears a fast and growing competition will emerge from all the other funding methods. I am sure all funding methods are studying wisely their moves and making sure for business to continue as usual. If not, my prediction is that new and fascinating deposit methods are coming up. I still can deposit with my credit card at various sites, it seems that not all banks are happy with US commands. Capitol One and Bank of America are two who several years ago complied and will not authorize a coded credit card transaction for a major website. Be careful with what you read, remember that the media is the best brain washing machine ever built.
