1. Ask any Texas Hold em’ pro and they will be sure to tell you that patience is an important part of the game. When you get out of control and start betting with reckless abandon you are going to find yourself in a bad spot. Instead, you need to learn that patience will guide you to success. Even if it is hard to sit back and stay patient, this is something that you need to do if you want to succeed.

2. When playing Texas Hold em’ you need to have a poker face that kills. Remember, your opponents will be watching your every move. If they see that you get excited or down on yourself they will use this against you. Your poker face is something that you will have to develop over time. Some people have this face and some people do not. But the good thing is that anybody can learn what a good poker face is.

3. While the competition is looking at you, make sure that you are doing the same to them. Being able to read your opponents will give you a much better chance of winning. You should look at everything from their face to their playing style.
