1. Where are the table games? Where are the machines? No matter what games you are interested in playing, you should know where everything is at. Remember, not every casino has the same layout. If you do not want to take the time to learn where each game is located, it is not a huge deal. When it is time to switch to a new game, you will simply have to find your way.

2. Know where you can go for food and drinks. If you spend enough time playing casino games, you are sure to get hungry and/or thirsty. You may think that this will not be a difficult choice, but some of the bigger casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City have several restaurants, bars, etc.

3. Just like you are bound to get hungry when gambling, you will probably have to go to the bathroom at some point in time. These areas are usually well labeled, but it is always nice to know where they are at. After all, you never know when you will go on a winning streak and be forced to wait out the urge. When you can finally walk away from the table or machine, you will want to know exactly where you are headed.

4. If you like your space, you will want to seek out the games that are not overly crowded. Even in the biggest of casinos, it is safe to say that you can find a row of slots machines that is relatively unoccupied. While this is not always the case, keep your eyes open when walking the floor. You may be surprised to come across quite a few areas in which you can have plenty of gambling space to yourself.

5. You need to keep your money safe when walking the casino floor. This is not to say that there are tons of pickpockets walking around, but they do exist. If you are not careful, you could end up losing all of the money that you took to the casino, or worse yet, all of the money that you won. You should always know how much money you have on you, as well as where it is located. It is not common for pickpockets to frequent casinos due to all the security and cameras. But you never know who is lurking.

6. When you finally decide to sit down, keep in mind that your place is only good for as long as you are in the seat. Like the old saying goes, move your feet and you lose your seat.
