Recently, in Europe , a law suit was presented to several companies for providing advertisement services to online gambling sites due to children being victims of this direct influence for gambling.

Is gambling a problem? No one has said it isn’t.But is it illegal? No one has said that either.

Children been influenced by advertisement is clearly a problem. They should not be growing up learning that gambling is good or even a necessity. The fact is that companies advertising these sites are not to blame.This is a business just as any other.

But who is to blame? Parents? I think they have a lot to do if their kid gambles or not. It’s as all about values and wise decisions. No one becomes a compulsive gambler from one day to another. According to several studies, compulsive behaviour starts after the third year of constant gambling activity. It’s also a fact that not all gamblers are compulsive ones.

This business has become so huge that is not weird to see a major football team in Europe Online Casino Poker Room or Sportsbook. Is this a bad thing? Not at all. These sites generate a lot of money and as in any other field they need to compete. Why would it be wrong for a brand of beer to sponsor a team and not an online casino? From another point of view, these gambling sites have the right to advertise when ever and where ever they want.It is more than normal to see a TV ad about liquor, cigarettes or pornography but is believed that gambling is worst than the before mentioned services.

It’s a matter of regulation.The government is giving it’s best to make this wonderful industry disappear. They made a lot by eliminating BOS from the picture in 2006 and Neteller in 2007, but they have not won the battle. For a lot of people this “War against Online Gambling” will be just the same as the “War on Drugs” and the “War on Terrorism”: A complete waste of time and useful money for other more important issues.

Think about it, if you have a honest business running and all of a sudden a bunch of conservative lucrative politicians believe that your business “harms the US family” and “economic stability” wouldn’t you be pissed if in a blink of an eye they pass a law to make your business illegal since it does not leave not even 1 cent in taxes to the government?

Today’s online gambler should accept things how they are. It is sad to see what is happening. It all points to apparently the wants all that money for them and at some moment Las Vegas would like to have a monopoly of online gambling. With the recent happenings, it would not be weird if the person behind all this enormous waste of time is a major politician or casino owner wanting to bring a fine business which generates thousands of jobs world wide and billions of dollars a year to the.

Regarding advertisement of online gambling sites, they have the right to advertise just as any major cigarette brand, beer company, porn site or a running shoe company.
